Ribbon Cutting for Folklore Haunted House
On Friday October 2, 2015, the City of Acworth held a ribbon cutting for Folklore. They are located at 5389 North Main Street. Marvon Williams, Acworth ABA & DDA, congratulated Dan Riker on his new Acworth business. Folklore Haunted House was previously located in Dallas, GA for seven years. The haunted house is ranked 2nd in the state of Georgia and 16th in the nation. Proclamation in Recognition of United States Navy Day, October 13, 2015
Mayor Tommy Allegood presented the United States Navy Day Proclamation Kirk Becker, a 16 year veteran of the United States Navy. Mr. Becker's family was also in attendance to accompany him for the presentation. United States Navy Day is being recognized on October 13 in the City of Acworth, which citizens are urged to remember and thank our veterans and active military personnel who faithfully serve the United States Armed Forces.

Mayor Tommy Allegood presented the Public Safety Appreciation Week Proclamation to Chief Wayne Dennard along with other members of the Acworth Police Department. Public Safety Appreciation Week is being recognized October 5 - 11 in the City of Acworth, GA. Mayor Allegood, on behalf of the Board of Aldermen, expressed his appreciation to the Acworth Police Department for their commitment to public safety in the Acworth community.
