On November 4, 2014 Cobb County voters will have the option to renew the one penny SPLOST for Roads, Parks & Public Safety (SPLOST 2016). If approved by the voters, the City of Acworth’s share of these funds is approximately $33,400,000 over 6 years.
The Mayor and Board of Aldermen reviewed City needs of over $100,000,000 in projects. The Mayor and Aldermen, working with City staff, narrowed the list down to projects which would have the greatest benefits to the citizens of Acworth and those projects that have high priorities based on community input. In addition the city held community meetings on May 13, and July 17, 2014 to get additional input into potential projects.
Please click on the link below to download the Tier 1 List of Projects and Tier 2 List of Projects. Projects on the Tier 2 List would only be considered for funding if there are additional funds available once Tier 1 Projects are complete.
The City encourages anyone with questions about any of the projects on the SPLOST List to contact City Hall at 770-974-3112. You will be directed to the individual who could best answer your questions.
