Acworth Farmers Market
The Historic Downtown Acworth Farmer's Market will begin this season on Friday, April 8 and continue each Friday morning from 8:00 a.m. until noon through Friday, October 28. The market is located in Historic Downtown Acworth in the Acworth First Baptist Church Parking Lot on the north end of Main Street.
Market customers will have a wide variety of garden ripe Georgia grown vegetables, eggs, cheese, bedding plants, fresh baked bread, pies, cakes, honey and jams to choose from each week. This year's market will be bigger and better than previous years and shoppers won't believe the selection of home grown goodies!

Classic Car Cruise
On Saturday, July 30, the city will host a Classic Car Cruise in Downtown Acworth. The event will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Main Street in Downtown Acworth. The Lake City Cruisers partner with the city and the downtown Acworth merchants to hold these Classic Car Cruises.
The event is free to the public. A $2 entry fee is requested for all vehicles in the cruise. All proceeds go to the Horizon Field, an all-inclusive special needs sports facility in Acworth.
Nautique WWA U.S. Wakeboard National Championships presented by Rockstar Energy
Let the excitement begin! The 2016 Nautique WWA U.S. Wakeboard National Championships present by Rockstar Energy will be held at Dallas Landing Park on July 27-30. The main event will take place on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Shuttles from downtown will begin running at 10:00 a.m. Come out and join us for fun, sun, and Wakeboarding!
Watch the nation’s best wakeboarders of all ages battle it out on the water for a chance to claim a National title!

BLOCK PARTY: That’s only the beginning of the festivities! Riders and fans will head over to Historic Downtown Acworth on Main Street after the event for the Wakeboard Block Party from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. There will be plenty of activities going on including live music featuring the Paul Hand Band, great food, and fun! The Nautique WWA U.S. National Championships Awards Ceremony will begin at 8:00 p.m. Be sure to arrive early and shop in the unique boutiques exclusive only on Main Street! This event is made possible by the Acworth Downtown Development Authority and the City of Acworth.
Acworth Youth Basketball League
The Acworth Parks, Recreation and Community Resource Department is ready to begin another exciting Youth Basketball season! This program provides competitive and instructional basketball for children between the ages of five and fourteen. Teams are grouped according to age. Practice starts the first week in November and games begin in early December. Registration began August 1.

Horizon League Fall Baseball
The Acworth Parks, Recreation and Community Resource Department is proud to announce the Fall 2016 Season of the Horizon Baseball League! This league is a non-competitive baseball league for athletes with physical and/or cognitive disabilities. Baseball season begins on Thursday, September 8 for adults and Saturday, September 10 for youth and teen divisions. The cost for the league is $15 which covers league expenses. Registration begins on July 1 and ends on August 24.

Acworth Beach Rentals
The City of Acworth is excited to partner with Acworth Beach Rentals (ABR) again this summer to offer kayak and stand up paddleboard rentals at Cauble Park! Opening day will be Saturday, May 7!
Lake Acworth is the perfect place to relax and spend the day exploring out on the water. Whether you're with friends, family, or simply need a relaxing day by yourself at the lake, ABR strives to provide you with high quality water sport rentals and friendly service! Rentals are held beside Acworth Beach and are available to people 13 and older. Rentals will be available on Saturdays from 10 to 8, Sundays from noon to 8, and weekdays by appointment only. Rental times are subject to change depending on weather.

Worlds Largest Inflatable Water Slide
The City of Acworth and Shoreline Entertainment, LLC is proud to announce the return of the World's Largest Inflatable Water Slide at Dallas Landing Park! The park is located at 5120 Allatoona Drive Acworth, 30101. The slide is 36 ft. tall and 175 ft. long. Opening Day is Friday, May 27!
The slide is open Monday through Friday 11:00 a.m.to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday, Sunday and holidays from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. through Monday, September 5. Please note: After August 1, the slide will only be open on weekends and holidays.
Daily Slide Rates are $4.00/person for one slide, $8.00/person for unlimited slides for one hour and $16.00/person for unlimited slides for one day. Please note there is a $5.00 parking fee at Dallas Landing for non-city residents.
Special group pricing is available for groups of 15 or more sliders. Please note that group rates are not available on holidays.

Logan Farm Park Expansion Under Construction
Logan Farm Park is an approximately 120 acre park located in the center of the city. Currently the park encompasses a lighted 1/3 mile walking trial around a multipurpose recreation field with the trail also extending to Cowan Road and Cherokee Street, playground, public restrooms, Amos Durr Community Ball Field, Roberts School Community Center and the Rosenwald School.
As part of the SPLOST park improvements the city is developing another 15 acres of parkland along Cherokee and Taylor streets to expand the park. Included in the improvements are open greenspace encircled by a walking trail which will connect to the existing walking trail in the park. A large community playground, group shelter and restroom facilities will also be constructed.
The Historic House located in Logan Farm Park next to the Parks and Recreation Offices will also be renovated and restored and become a meeting/gathering facility. Construction on the park began in January 2016 and is scheduled to be complete by the end of 2016.
Acworth Depot Signage Unveiling
The Save the Acworth Depot Foundation has purchased a historic marker and interpretative signage to commemorate the Acworth Depot that was located in Downtown Acworth until 1970. The Mayor and Board of Aldermen in partnership with the members of the Save the Acworth Depot Foundation, celebrated with the public in a special unveiling ceremony on Friday, December 4.
Please be sure to stop by the depot pavilion located at the corner of Lemon Street and Main Street to remember a vital part of Acworth’s history!
